As an approved Brainspotting Consultant, I have undergone additional training to provide guidance and support to other therapists seeking certification. I can assist you in the following ways:

Certification Requirements for Brainspotting Practitioners

 

To become a certified Brainspotting practitioner, individuals must complete the following steps:

  1. Training: Complete Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2 trainings, which can be attended in-person or online.

  2. Advanced Training: After November 1, 2025, complete one advanced training course, such as Phase 3, Phase 4, Phase 5, or a Master Class.

  3. Consultation: Engage in a minimum of 6 hours of individual consultation with an approved Brainspotting Consultant. Note that only 2 hours of consultation before completing Phase 2 can count towards certification.

  4. Practice: Document at least 50 Brainspotting sessions using the provided session tracking form.

  5. Application: Submit a completed certification application, including the documented sessions, consultant’s report, and proof of liability insurance (or request for a waiver).

  6. Certification Fee: Pay a certification fee of $150 USD.

Certification must be completed within 2 years of finishing the final required course.
